Barbara Dawson Smith is an American writer of historical romance novels whose first novel, No Regrets was published in 1985. She is winner of the 2002 Romance Writers of America award and has published at least twenty-four novels,[1] which have garnered numerous awards, including "Best Historical Romantic Suspense" for Dreamspinner (1990) and "Best Regency Historical" for A Glimpse of Heaven (1995) from Romantic Times, and the RITA Award for Tempt Me Twice. Her novels have also been finalists for the "National Readers’ Choice Award, Romance of the Year" by Affaire de Coeur magazine, the "Golden Quill", "Booksellers' Best Award" and the RITA Award.
Smith lives in Houston, Texas with her husband, their two daughters and two cats.[2]
